Shorewinner

Consisting of a consortium of 22 members from five European countries (Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus), the project is managed by the Instituto Politécnico do Porto and has a partnership with APREN.

SHOREWINNER is a four-year project designed to impact both people and organizations involved in the offshore renewable energy ecosystem in Southern Europe. The expectation is that the results will contribute significantly to the formation of a qualified and diverse workforce.

The main objective of the project is to address the needs of the sector, especially wind energy, through the development of skills, qualifications and requalification of the workforce. To facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources among participants, Communities of Practice will be created that create bridges between five Centers of Professional Excellence (CoVE), one for each country involved in the project.

The project will organize training programs, internships, exchanges, workshops and seminars to support professional development, based on the interests of CoVE. These programs are designed with the intention of contributing to the dual green and digital transition, with a more qualified workforce.

The project is expected to have a significant impact in Portugal, especially in strengthening education and employment in this sector. The participation of Portuguese organizations (APREN, INOVA+, P.Porto, EPATV, FOR-MAR, Voltalia) highlights Portugal's commitment to professional training and the sustainable development of the renewable energy industry.
