Electricity Market Workshop - Europe, Iberia & Portugal
APREN – The Portuguese Renewable Energy Association will hold a workshop dedicated to the topic Electricity Market – Europe, Iberia & Portugal*.
This training session will take place on the 27th and 28th of February in Lisbon, in a completely face-to-face format.
The workshop aims to provide a practical understanding of how electrical markets work and is aimed at those who are broadly familiar with electrical markets, but not their detailed workings.
It will be taught in English by trainers associated with the Florence School of Regulation and FTI Consulting. The program includes five modules, divided over two days of training:
- February 27th (2:00 pm – 6:30 pm)
- M1: Basics of electricity markets
- M2: Sequence of short-term electricity markets
- M3: The interaction between electricity markets and grids
- February 28th (9:30 am – 1:00 pm)
- M4: Zoom into Iberian Electricity market
- M5: Long-run trends in electricity markets with more renewables

*Terms and conditions:
- The course is taught in English. There is no translation available
- It is not possible to attend the training remotely, all sessions will be held in person
- Registration for the course is limited to existing places (30). The respective occupation will be done on a first come first served basis
- Only 2 representatives per company can register
- Registration for the course is only complete after payment, and it is not possible to reserve seats
- The billing data indicated will be considered for issuing the final documents
- No proform invoices will be issued
- The training session will have photographic and video coverage
