Juan Virgilio Márquez is a Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has two Management Development Programmes from the IE Business School and ESADE Bussiness School. He has a long history in the energy, infrastructure, strategic consulting, innovation and TI, leading teams, projects and business areas nationally and internationally, both in the public and private sectors. Since December 2016, he has been the General Director of the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE). AEE brings together 300 companies from the wind sector, covering 90% of the industry's activity and 100% of the technology value chain in Spain, and its main objective is to promote the growth of wind energy in our country. In AEE, regulatory, industrial, technical and research aspects are coordinated. Also, he is Chairman of REOLTEC,  board member of WindEurope, the European Wind Energy Association, and occupies, together with Germany and Denmark, the representation of the European national associations.
