João is a lawyer and partner in the energy law area at PLMJ. His activity  focused on the area of ​​energy and natural resources, providing legal assistance in regulatory, projects, transactions and litigation to various national and international clients.

In the energy area, its main focus has been advising on the implementation and operation of projects and infrastructures, with a special focus on renewable energy, advising the main energy companies in Portugal, especially on regulatory and contractual issues, as well as advising on dispute resolution in the fields of energy and regulation.

João is the author of several writings and articles in the area of ​​energy law and has frequently been invited to teach and participate, as a speaker, in classes and conferences in the fields of energy law and regulation.
