Industrial Engineer and holds a Ph.D. by the Politécnica University of Madrid – UPM (2000) and degree (PDG) from IESE.

He started his professional career (1995) as lecturer and researcher in the Energy Engineering Department and Mechanical Fluid of the ETSII (UPM). He also worked as consultant in Renewable Energy area.

In 2001, he started his activity in the field of economic regulation of the energy sector at European level and, among other positions, he was Adviser on Gas and Electricity in CEER, Director for European Affairs at the Spanish National Energy Commission and Joint Coordinator of the Electricity and Gas Regional Initiatives in ACER and Director of European Affairs, at CNE.

In 2012, he joined OMIE as Director of the Chairman & CEO’s Office and, in 2017, he was appointed European and Institutional Affairs Director of OMIE. In April, 2019 he became his current position, Institutional Affairs and Marketing Director of the OMI Group.
