Carlos Sampaio has a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the Faculty of Engineering of Porto ( FEUP ), in the field of Electrical Energy Systems and has an Executive MBA in Management, at Porto Business School.

He started his activity at EFACEC, Empresa Fabril de Máquinas Elétricas, S.A.and held positions in the companies ECOCICLO, Energia e Ambiente, S.A. and SODESA – Comercialização de Energia, SA.

He is managing partner of the company Pestana de Vasconcelos & Filhas, Lda.

He is Chief Operating Officer at Elergone Energia, Lda.

Member of the board of APESF (Portuguese Association for Photovoltaic Industry) since 2010, assuming the positions of President and Vice President until the incorporation of APESF in APREN.
