Duarte Bello is the COO of EDPR and Executive Board Member responsible for EDPR’s Renewable Onshore Wind and Solar Business in Europe (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, UK, Belgium, Poland and Romania) and Brazil.

He joined EDP in 2006 and has developed his career in several positions, such as Head of M&A and Corporate Development to lead international M&A transactions in Europe, US, Latin America and China and develop the long term Strategy of EDP and Chief of Staff for the CEO of EDP, and he has been a Member of EDP Group Investment Committee. Within EDPR, he is a Member of the Board of Directors of EDPR and a Member the Executive Committee of EDPR.

Prior to EDP and EDPR, he worked as a Financial Analyst at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney in London and Lisbon, and then as a Financial analyst in Citigroup’s Investment Banking division in London

He holds a Business and Administration Degree from Faculdade de Economia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa and an MBA from INSEAD (Singapore and France).
