Miguel Lobo is responsible in Portugal for Lightsource bp.

He began his professional career at Gamesa Energia Portugal, a Portuguese subsidiary of the Gamesa Group's development business unit, having helped develop and build about 300MW in wind projects throughout the country.

In 2009, he joined Martifer Renewables, where he was initially responsible for the U.S. and later Brazil, Argentina and Colombia, being the General Manager of Latin America for the development arm of the Martifer Group. Martifer Renewables led the development, construction and sale of more than 1000MW in various stages of development.

Prior to joining Lightsource bp in 2019, he was CEO of Enerlife, a development company, having led the sale of the projects to Lightsource bp in Brazil and Portugal.

He holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering since 2003 and a post-graduate degree in Renewable Energy from FEUP in 2007.

He holds an Executive MBA from IESE Business School, Madrid.
