Manuel Fonseca e Silva has a degree in Technological Physical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico.

Since 2019, he has been the executive responsible for the Project Development and Construction business unit at Aquila Capital in Portugal, where he manages a portfolio of 700 MW solar projects.

Previously, he spent 13 years at Martifer Renewables managing the development, construction and operation of the company's wind farms and solar plants in different countries. Initially in Romania where he was Country Manager and managed a portfolio of 600 MW of wind projects and later in Portugal, where he was Martifer's representative in the Ventinveste consortium from 2013 onwards.
