Nelson Lage has a degree in Political Science - International Relations and an Executive Master in Management and Leadership Development (Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics).

He has 15 years of experience in the public sector in the fields of energy, innovation and international relations.

He has served as an advisor in several governments and, more recently, he was Deputy Secretary of State for Energy in the XXI Government and Deputy/Head of Cabinet replacing the Deputy Secretary of State and Energy in the XXII Government.

In 2011 he joined ADENE - Portuguese Energy Agency and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of ADENE and Chairman of the Board of Directors of OLMC – Logistic Operator for Change of Supplier.

On a voluntary and pro bono basis, he is Executive Director of the Reach Alliance Global Network, a board member of the Alliance of Civilization Foundation and a member of the East West Bridge International Foundation.
