Tiago Barata is in charge of generg's Solar Department and the solar plants of the NOVENERGIA Group.

With a presence in Portugal, France, Italy and Bulgaria, NOVENERGIA is 100% owned by the TOTAL EREN Group.

Born in Lisbon, Tiago Barata graduated in Engineering and Industrial Management from IST (Instituto Superior Técnico - Portugal) in 2005.

In 2005 he joined GENERG for the development of solar technology, culminating in the construction of two solar plants in alentejo in the period 2008-2010.

In 2012 he was involved in the development of solar power plants in Romania, including the definitions of design, procurement and negotiation of EPC contracts and later in the construction of solar power plants in France.

In 2013 he attended PAGE - Advanced Management Program for Executives at the Portuguese Catholic University.

In recent years, in addition to the Asset Management of solar plants in operation of the Group, it has been responsible for the development of solar power plants in a market regime for the NOVENERGIA Group and for the shareholder TOTAL EREN.

He was recently project manager of a solar plant located in Portugal with a power of 27.5 MW that went into operation in summer 2021.
