Heikki Willstedt Mesa is a graduate on Political Science and Master on International Relations.

Before joining AEE in 2010 as its Energy Policies and Climate Change Director, Mr. Willstedt was in charge of energy issues at the WWF organization in Spain for eight years.

He is also a an external teacher for the Renewable Energy Master at Universidad Europea de Madrid and previously also for the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid.

Before that, he worked for the United Nations’ Programme for the Environment (PNUMA) in Paris and for the European Council of the Chemical Industry (CEFIC) in Brussels.

Mr. Willstedt is also a member of the Advisory Committee at the Energías Renovables magazine.
