Brussels asks Portugal to adopt new EU rules on electricity market in 2 months

The European Commission has urged 26 countries (all except Denmark) to adopt the new electricity market design rules within two months, which should have happened by January.

Europe and Member States unite to make biomethane a pillar of energy security and competitiveness

European institutions, representatives of the Member States and key players in the sector gathered for Biomethane Connect Europe 2025, an event held under the Polish Presidency of the European Union. 

Global energy demand accelerated by 2.2% in 2024 driven by electricity

In its annual market report, the International Energy Agency (IEA) points out that electricity demand increased by 4.3%, i.e. at a much faster pace than energy as a whole, but also than economic growth (3.2%).
