National Energy and Climate Plan 2030

The National Energy-Climate Plan (PNEC) 2030 was presented on January 28 at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.
According to the document, renewables are expected to account for 47% of electricity consumption in Portugal in 2030, with an increase in installed capacity of up to 28.8 GW. With a total investment of 21,905 million euros, PNEC contemplates a bet on solar energy, although wind continues to play a prominent role.
